How new access rights can strengthen union organising: get into workplaces

The Employment Rights Act introduces the most significant changes to trade union rights in a generation. Among the reforms are new provisions on trade unions’ rights of access to workplaces, creating fresh opportunities for unions to engage with workers, build membership and strengthen collective voice. Join Matt Penfold, Collective Dispute Manager / Asst Chief Conciliator from Acas where he will explain the forthcoming changes to trade union rights of access, what they mean in practice, and how unions can prepare for implementation. The session will explore the policy intent behind the reforms, the proposed framework for workplace access, and the practical implications for union organising and recruitment. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and gain insight from one of Acas’s leading experts on collective employment relations. Whether you are a workplace representative, branch officer or activist, this webinar will help you understand how these important changes could support union organising and engagement in the years ahead. We want everyone attending TUC events to have a safe and enjoyable experience. If you require any adjustments or assistance to participate at this event, please let us know at TUCEducation@tuc.org.uk Live captions will be available during the webinar.
