Jenny Douglas is STUC President 26/27

Jenny Douglas is a lay member of Unite, representing members in local authorities and has worked for Dundee Council for 46 years with a lead role on job evaluation, TUPE transfers and restructures and she was a trade union side member of COSLA/Scottish Joint Council.
During this time she sat on her union’s regional and national committee’s for her sector and equalities, serving as Unite’s National Executive Council LGBT+ representative for 13 years.
As a lay Unite tutor she worked with the SQA and Adam Smith/Fife College on the development and establishment of an SVQ qualification for Unite Reps and Equalities courses.
She was an inaugural member of the STUC LGBT Workers Conference in 2012 and has served on the STUC LGBT+ Workers Committee since then.
Jenny has been a member of the STUC General Council since 2013.
Jenny was born in Perthshire and came to Dundee in 1976 to train as a teacher, she became a member of the TGWU in 1985.
