The Scottish Trades Union Congress has set out a clear plan to deliver dignity in work as part of its manifesto for the 2026 Scottish Parliament elections.
We have called for measures to raise an additional £3.7 billion for the public purse which include the introduction of wealth taxes, scrapping council tax for a proportional property tax and ending the £3 billion scandal of outsourcing within Scotland’s public services.
In addition to equity stakes in national infrastructure projects such as offshore wind and making government funding for manufacturing conditional on Fair Work terms and conditions, the manifesto “leads the way” for politicians to support Scotland’s workforce.
