Increasing the Powers of Employment Tribunals
“That this Congress welcomes the recently passed UK legislation extending workers’ rights and protections.
“However, Congress notes that a significant percentage of Employment Tribunal awards are never paid to the workers who win their case.
“Congress calls on the General Council to campaign for further changes to employment law to:
- make Employment Tribunal awards directly enforceable by sheriff officers; and
- make directors of limited companies directly personally liable for paying Employment Tribunal awards.”
