Accusing politicians of ‘political cowardice’ and ‘broken promises’, the STUC leader is expected to say: “communities have been failed by those unwilling to deliver the changes we need.”
‘Deplorable’ 1100 jobs lost in low carbon economy as STUC launch call for Industrial Strategy
April 22, 2026: New information from Scotland’s largest trade union body has shown a “deplorable” 1100 jobs lost in the Low Carbon and Renewable Energy Economy (LCREE) as the Scottish Trades Union Congress announce demands for a new Industrial Strategy for Scotland.
