Housing workers and tenants groups will today (Thursday 12 February) lobby the Scottish Parliament calling for a significant increase in house building in Scotland.

Speaking today STUC General Secretary Grahame Smith said “The STUC was saddened to learn of the untimely death of Bashir Ahmad MSP, and we send our deepest condolences to Mr Ahmad’s family. The election of Mr Ahmad to the Scottish Parliament in 2007, as the first Black MSP, marked an important milestone, and he will be a significant loss to our Parliament”.
