S4M-02061 Neil Findlay:

Songs for Social Justice—That the Parliament welcomes the STUC initiative to hold a Songs for Social Justice Festival in Glasgow in January 2012; appreciates the contributions from all the schools that participated in the event, All Saints Secondary School in Glasgow, Bathgate Academy, Coltness High School in Wishaw, Hillpark Secondary School in Glasgow, Holyrood Secondary School in Glasgow, Notre Dame High School in Glasgow and Shawlands Academy in Glasgow; commends all the school students for what it considers the imaginative and inspirational songs that were performed at the festival, which it believes demonstrates clearly that young people have strong commitments to fairness, equality and social justice, and gives particular thanks to the students and staff from Bathgate Academy who will be playing at the STUC reception in the Garden Lobby of the Parliament on Wednesday 22 February 2012.
