The Scottish Trades Union Congress is supporting the White Ribbon March being held in Stirling tomorrow (Thursday 3rd December 2009 at 6pm).
Speaking before the march STUC General Secretary, Grahame Smith said
“The STUC is committed to challenging violence against women, wherever it takes place. Our homes, streets and workplaces should be free from fear and violence for all women. We commend the White Ribbon Campaign in Scotland for organising with men to speak out.”

White Ribbon March – Stirling Thursday 3rd December 2009 at 6pm
White Ribbon Campaign Scotland (WRCS) is a campaign to involve men in tackling violence against women. It is a joint initiative by a coalition of organisations, individuals and groups of men around Scotland.
The white ribbon march will leave from Stirling Castle Esplanade to Stirling Council Viewforth car park and will be lead by Central Scotland Police Pipe Bank.
Wear a White Ribbon and Pledge never to Commit, Condone or Remain silent about violence against women.
