The STUC has expressed concern following the statement made by Cardinal Keith O'Brien on the Abortion Act.
STUC Assistant Secretary Mary Senior said “The Cardinal's intervention is both unhelpful and disturbing, and fails to understand the reality of women's and families' lives. Fortunately, I'm confident that politicians - and most people - do appreciate the complex moral, health, practical and financial issues that relate to taking a decision to terminate a pregnancy.”
