Commenting on the fact that the BNP are to get a party election broadcast tonight, General Secretary Grahame Smith said:
“The ordinary working people of Scotland will be outraged that the racist British National Party is getting public air time to spread their vile message of lies, hatred and misinformation. Given the racist attack on the asylum seeking mother and her baby in Yoker last week, it is deeply disturbing that racists are allowed to promote their distorted views on our television screens.
“The BNP activities and policies threaten our public order, civil liberties, and the democratic rights of people in Scotland. The STUC believes that the BNP must be challenged at every level, their views should never be legitimised.”
