STUC LOOKS FORWARD TO WORKING WITH SCOTLAND'S NEW TOP CIVIL SERVANT
Commenting on the appointment today of John Elvidge, as the successor to Sir Muir Russell, as the Head of the Civil Service in Scotland, STUC General Secretary, Bill Speirs, said:
"We have worked very constructively with John Elvidge in the past. He is someone who knows the needs of Scotland's economy and wider society.
"I look forward, with genuine enthusiasm, to working closely with him through our Memorandum of Understanding with the Scottish Executive, in the interests of Scotland's working people and their families."
