"PUBLISH THE IRAQ WAR INTELLIGENCE REPORTS NOW" SAYS STUC
Speaking to a meeting of Scottish trade union officials in Glasgow today, STUC General Secretary, Bill Speirs, said:
"People need to know the truth about why war was waged on Iraq not least the families of those who died in it.
"The Prime Minister should immediately publish all the intelligence reports which were drafted by the Security Services prior to the war. With Saddam's regime gone and unable to harm those who provided the information, there is now no reason for not publishing it.
"And it should be published in its original form, unaltered. In the words of Robert Burns
`there's nane ever feared that the truth should be heard, but they whom the truth would indite' "
