Put People First Road To St Andrews

Put People First

The global financial and economic system is in crisis. Existing policies and institutions are reinforcing high levels of poverty and inequality which is contributing to an environmental catastrophe.

It's time to Put People First...

In November, the G20 (twenty of the richest nations in the world) are sending their Finance Ministers to St. Andrews to decide on their solutions to the crisis. This is a huge opportunity for us, the people of Scotland and the wider UK, to stand up for billions: the world cannot go back to business as usual. We must put people first by delivering on jobs, justice and climate.

In the run up to the G20 Finance Ministers meeting, STUC is working with Scottish unions and a whole range of campaigning and charity organisations, holding public meetings and events around Scotland.

And on November 7 the focus will be on St Andrews.
