STUC publishes Budget for Rebuilding Collective Prosperity

STUC today published it’s submission to the Treasury in advance of Pre-Budget Report 2009 It does so in the wake of the news that the UK manufacturing sector suffered an unexpected slowdown in activity last month raising fresh doubts about claims of an economic recovery.

STUC Support White Ribbon March

The Scottish Trades Union Congress is supporting the White Ribbon March being held in Stirling tomorrow (Thursday 3rd December 2009 at 6pm). Speaking before the march STUC General Secretary, Grahame Smith said “The STUC is committed to challenging violence against women, wherever it takes place. Our homes, streets and workplaces should be free from fear and violence for all women. We commend the White Ribbon Campaign in Scotland for organising with men to speak out.”
