Commenting on the Budget debate today, STUC General Secretary Grahame Smith criticised the Scottish Government’s further concessions to the Tory agenda on small business as a mistake at a time when disadvantage and inequality are still rife in Scotland.

Tomorrow morning (29 February) the Scottish Trades Union Congress (STUC) is holding a conference on the European Union Reform Treaty: the Lisbon Treaty. The Conference aims to raise greater awareness of the new EU Reform Treaty amongst Scottish trade unionists, and to consider the arguments both for and against a referendum on its ratification in the UK.
