Unpaid overtime is on the decline in Scotland, but progress is so slow that it will take until 2025 before no-one is doing more than 10 hours unpaid extra work every week, according to an analysis of official statistics published by the TUC today (Friday).

Scotland’s for Peace is organising a march and rally on the theme “Bin the Bomb – don’t replace Trident” in Glasgow on Saturday 24 February 2007. The march will begin at 11.30am in George Square and will culminate in an indoor rally at 12.30pm. The rally will end a series of meetings in Scotland this week as part of the “Bin the Bomb” roadshow. Speakers at the rally will be STUC President Katrina Purcell, Cardinal Keith O’Brien, Rev Alan McDonald, Bruce Kent, Jeremy Corbyn, Alex Salmond MP, and representatives from UNISON and TGWU, amongst others.
