The pronouncements of Home Secretary, David Blunkett, are becoming increasingly worrying. His latest comments, that refugees and asylum seekers from Kosova and Afghanistan should ?go home? are damaging, to say the least.

2nd : STUC anger at Executive?s consultation failure
The STUC has questioned the decision of the Scottish Executive to exclude the trade union movement from a consultation exercise to seek comment on increased fees for those using the Civil Justice system.
4th : STUC backs fire fighters and slams Sunday sackings
At its meeting today, the STUC General Council unanimously agreed to extend full solidarity and support to the Fire Brigades Union in their claim for ?30,000 a year for fire fighters.
6th : STUC dismayed at court fees decision
They have also stated that the Minister of Justice has failed to provide an explanation as to why the STUC, whose affiliates represent the interests of over 600 000 Trade Unionists, happened to be excluded from the process.
