The STUC Women's Committee will present a public petition of over 10,000 signatures to the Scottish Parliament?s Public Petitions Committee calling on the Parliament to implement the universal provision of free school meals and milk.
28th : STUC women challenge all Scotland?s political parties to deliver 50:50
Rozanne Foyer, Secretary of the STUC's Women's Committee, welcomed the change of law this week at a UK level over the mechanisms for promoting women's representation as candidates within political parties.

A fax from our colleagues in the Palestine General Federation of Trade Unions asks why a Labour Foreign Secretary is speaking only about Israeli security, after 18 months of Palestinians being murdered by Israeli forces. I have no answer for them.
4th : STUC to meet Public Services Minister, to discuss "modernisation" agenda
We will be urging the Minister to recognise that high quality public services are best delivered by staff who are directly employed, treated fairly at work, are well trained and who put the needs of service users and the community first
