“It is welcome news that Morag Alexander has been appointed Scotland Commissioner for the new Commission for Equality and Human Rights (CEHR). Morag was well known to the STUC during her time as Director of the Equal Opportunities Commission in Scotland, and works closely with trade unions in her current role with the Scottish Social Services Council. The STUC look forward to working closely with Morag and the CEHR in Scotland to promote equality and human rights and tackle discrimination wherever it occurs”.
