WITHDRAWAL OF INVITATION FOR STUC TO ADDRESS SCOTTISH LABOUR CONFERENCE "END OF A LONG AND VALUABLE TRADITION"
STUC General Secretary, Bill Speirs, said today:
"I have been notified by the Scottish Labour Party that their invitation for me to address this weekend's Conference on behalf of the STUC has been withdrawn.
"This is clearly extremely disappointing, and the end of a long and valuable tradition of solidarity."
