  • The European Union Reform Treaty (The Lisbon Treaty) for Trade Unionists

An STUC Conference to consider the contents of the Treaty, and the arguments for and against a referendum in the UK.

10am - 1pm

STUC Centre, 333 Woodlands Road, Glasgow

This conference aims to raise greater awareness of the EU Reform Treaty amongst trade unionists, with contributions from those supporting and opposing it, along with a debate on the merits of a referendum on the Treaty ratification in the UK. Confirmed speakers include David Martin MEP, invited speakers include: Ian Davidson MP, Carolyn Jones (Institute of Employment Rights), the European Movement in Scotland, and European Trade Union experts.

This event is free to attend, however the STUC reserves the right to charge an adminstration fee of £25 to those registering and failing to attend on the day without good reason or without contacting the STUC to cancel.
