Nominations have now closed for the STUC’s One Workplace Equal Rights Project inaugural Equality Award which will be presented at Congress 2007 in April as part of the Project’s overall aim to mainstream equality and tackle discrimination within the trade union movement

The Awards aims to ensure and encourage best practice of equalities work is mainstreamed within trade union activity and maintain a high profile of the equality agenda work. All STUC affiliated Scottish trade union organisations were invited to nominate member(s) for an Award who have demonstrated a commitment towards equalities issues.

A selected panel will judge the nominations received and the winner will be presented the Award from a Minister at Congress 2007.
