  • STUC Youth Committee Workplan Launched

STUC Youth Committee Chair Hamish Drummond and Vice Chair Jenny Duncan presented the Youth Committee's workplan to the November General Council meeting.

The Youth Committee has identified three key areas of activity for the coming year, the Promotion of Young Workers’ Rights, Building an Active Network of Young Members and the Promotion of Trade Union Membership to Young People. Within these priorities the Youth Committee will be campaigning on issues such as modern apprenticeships, the national minimum wage, pensions, supporting migrant workers and reaching out to young Muslim communities.
