  • Healthy Working Lives group to survey NHS Employees on pre-employment assessments

The Glasgow University Healthy Working Lives Research Group have launched an on line survey that is seeking the views of stewards, health and safety representatives and trade union members on the use, and effectiveness of pre-employment and pre-placement assessments within the health sector.

In addition to trade unions the views of employers, occupational health physicians and nurses will be sought with the aim of developing assessment procedures that are consistent throughout the United Kingdom.

All affiliated organisation with members in the health sector have been made ware of this survey and it is important the views of workers are properly considered when developing these policies.

The STUC would stress that this survey, accessible through this link should only be completed by those working in the health sector

Further information regarding the survey can be found in the attached documents and individuals with experience in these assessments is encouraged to participate.

If you have any further queries regarding the research you can contact Dr Imran Ghafur on 01236438177 or E-mail or Ms Jayne Burrows (research assistant) on 0141 330 3559 or E-Mail
