The STUC Centre is a red sandstone, three-storey building, situated in the Woodlands area of Glasgow, in the heart of the West End. The building was formerly Woodside School.

The Centre is located a few minutes’ walk from Kelvinbridge Underground station and from the main bus routes on Great Western Road. There is ample off-street metered parking in the surrounding areas and a car park at Kelvinbridge Underground station.

The STUC staff work at the Centre. The STUC accommodation is spread over the three floors – with meeting room accommodation on the ground floor, STUC administration offices on the first floor and Scottish Union Learning offices on the second floor.

There are currently also tenants from 4 organisations located in the building; 2 of these on the ground floor level.

The accommodation being offered presently is located on the ground floor with its own lockable office. It will become available from 12 October 2015.

This accommodation:

• comprises 335 sq. ft.

• can be adapted to create separate areas within the room itself

• the accommodation has windows at one end

• has some storage

Rental costs:

All accommodation on the ground floor is charged at the rate of £10 per square foot per annum (plus VAT).

In addition, tenants are charged for services (i.e. heating, light, waste disposal etc). Service charges are calculated on the ratio of the area occupied, to the entire area of the building (excluding common areas). *

Tenants are liable for rates, paid directly to Glasgow City Council, and water rates, paid directly to Scottish Water. **

Tenants are responsible for arranging cleaning services within their own accommodation area. The STUC though arrange all communal areas cleaning.
