The Forum meets 2-3 times a year and all affiliates are free to nominate representatives to it.

Since its establishment, the Forum has held 2 successful Conferences on Disability and has organised a half-day seminar on the Disability Discrimination Act for Workplace Reps. It is currently commencing its 4th year of existence, and is at present lobbying the General Council for full Committee status as part of the review that is currently taking place around equality structures.
